Mik & Joe Creative is a design studio owned and directed by Mik Wright and Joe Palmieri. For over 20 years, both partners have been involved in the design and management of all projects that go through the studio, from small business start-ups to national company re-brandings.
Joe’s passion is ideas – exploration, implementation and communication. Joe is a strong advocate of a thorough design process being applied to all design projects, large or small.
Outside the studio, Joe has been an academic lecturer since 2006, teaching in the Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) at RMIT University. He enjoys being a mentor to students and bringing his knowledge, personal insight and experience learnt from running a design business into the classroom.
Mik is passionate about strategy and evaluation. His strengths lie in lateral thinking and problem-solving. Spending a lot of time with clients in the brainstorming stages of the design process, he helps clients articulate their messages and tailors unique processes to best communicate them.
Outside the studio, Mik established the Introduction to Graphic Design course at RMIT, provides guest lecturing and works with local Melbourne businesses with marketing strategies.
In 2020 after trading for 20 years under ‘Studio 131′ we decided a fresh new name was deserved. We asked our clients what they liked about us, then developed a name less corporate, one that reflects what we have become for our clients over the years.
Mik & Joe Creative stemmed out of our clients’ enjoyment of the close and personal relationships that we provide, the one-on-one time, as well as the get the job done no matter what attitude!
